Custom Wool Comforters
Olga's custom wool comforters are filled with 100 percent wool, grown in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley of Washington state. The wool has been carefully washed using a mild detergent with no chemicals. It is then carded into batts which are hand tied into the comforter.
We have sold these comfoters for many years to Turtleback Farm Inn on Orcas Island in the beautiful San Juan Islands. Through orders by their customers, our comforters have been delivered all over the world.
These comforters provide you warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer. A protective duvet cover is recommended which can be removed and laundered. This can be purchased at most department stores. These comforters shall last for years and years to bring you warmth and comfort.
They do need to be treated with respect, however. They are made to lie on the top of a bed and to be used as a cover. They should not be slept on; nor should you roll yourself up in the comforter, although that is very tempting. This will keep the wool batts from becoming packed down and losing their insultation properties. Professionally dry clean, only, with no water; otherwise felting may occur.
We are able to adjust the size and weight of these comforters to meet your custom requirements. Please contact us to discuss your options.
